Elaborating Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in Learning Caption Text at XII Grade Students of SMANDA

Through STEM approach, English learning engages the students take part actively in solving factual problems. They collaborate to find energy and environment problems surrounding them. By discussing and creating caption text that meaningful, they share  messages to others to be aware of the problems that happen in our life.

Factual         :

Caption Text about energy and environment
Conceptual :

Caption is a short text found near a picture that gives the reader important information about the picture.

Procedural:

• Discussing problems deal with energy and environment.
• Taking pictures in the school environment deal with problems have been
  discussed.
• Creating a short text about the pictures.
• Inserting the text in the pictures with cell phone application.
• Presenting the caption texts in front of the class.
• Posting the caption texts in instagram.

Metacognitive:

Messages of caption text about energy and environment
Discussing the problems about energy and environment and finding the pictures
